How Xyza Started

Xyza was born out of the idea that every Filipina deserves to be bold, confident, and empowered in their own skin.

Through products meant to naturally enhance what society identifies as beauty, our mission is to help you bring out what we define as true beauty: having the confidence to stand up for who you are, what you believe in, and what you’re capable of.

We believe that if there were more Filipinas stand up, be themselves, and make an impact — the world would be an infinitely better place. 💕

But unfortunately, as a woman, I've experienced how it's like to be at a societal disadvantage just for being who I am.

From being able to feel safe in public at all times, to having the same career opportunities available across the board — I get it.

That's why it's important for us to be bold, confident, and strong. If even a sliver of self-doubt seeps through, it becomes an uphill battle to be who you are.

Our mission to achieve that by giving access to products that help you maintain self-confidence despite what society says.

The PowerLash

Our first product, the Powerlash, is a vegan, all-natural solution to growing bolder, longer, and healthier lashes.

I know the struggle that comes from the insecurities of having short lashes.

Not many talk about this, but I know first-hand this affects my confidence. I've seen this time and time again with people I know too.

Intelligent, capable, and talented Filipinas, who's self-image is shaken by society's judgment.

And I've tried EVERYTHING.

Eyelash perm — I was told my lashes were too short, results wouldn't be clear.

Lash extensions — I could only get the shortest and lightest versions because well, my lashes were too thin to carry the heavier ones.

Not to mention all the things I couldn't do while I had them on. No rubbing. No mascara. No oil-based make up. No swimming.

They even told me I would lose my natural lashes over as they fell off!

Talk about restrictions — I barely felt myself with them on.

And tbh, for some these solutions work.

But to me, they never felt . . . right.

They never felt . . . me.

With the PowerLash, we hope to help you grow long, full, healthy eyelashes — so you can stand up as the bold, confident, and empowered woman you are meant to be.

To know who you are, to believe in who you are, to believe in who you can be, and to believe in what you can do for the world — that is our definition of empowerment.

That, is beauty.

Why “Xyza”?

We get many questions about the name of the brand, and our answer is as cheesy as it gets 😂

I founded this business with my husband, Reinart. And one of the many cute things I notice Reinart does is that he always say "XYZ" as a sample enumeration in a conversation.

I personally don't know anyone else who does this, so I really found it unique, and to me, those letters are already tied to who he is.

One day, I initiated a conversation about baby names like a deeply-in-love woman would lol 😅 I wanted the name to be unmistakably "us". And so I thought "why not something with 'XYZ' in it?"

That's when the name Xyza was born.

Months later, we came up with the idea for the brand and we knew we wanted it to be around Women Empowerment.

We wanted to build a world where women believe in themselves and believe in how they can make an impact on the world.

We wanted to create products that helped Filipinas believe in who they are, who they can be, and what they can do for the world.

We wanted this to be the world where our future daughter, Xyza would grow up in.

That's when the lightbulb lit for Reinart . . .

"What if we name the brand after Xyza?"*

And it all made sense...

This movement is for all the women, and all the little girls looking up to the women around them today.

Stand up for who you are, what you believe in, and what you're capable of — let's redefine beauty and keep the fire burning, for our generation and the next ones to come.

We’re excited to start (and pursue!) this journey with you. Join our community by using the hashtag #XyzaEmpowered! ❤
